Can a building wrap be installed upside down or with the print facing the wall?
For flat building wraps, installation direction has minimal impact on fabric performance. That said, consistent installation confirms you've followed guidelines for a proper water-resistive barrier. Always install in a shingling fashion and check local codes for overlap requirements.
Note: RainDropĀ® building wrap must be installed with drainage channels vertical or at a slight angle. Horizontal channels will not drain effectively.
Does fanfold insulation provide meaningful R-Value?
Fanfold's primary purpose is to level walls so new siding installs straight. It adds supplemental R-Value depending on thickness a useful secondary benefit, but not its primary function.
