16" Variable Speed Floor Drill Press (230V 1 Phase)

Built with the operator in mind these premier drills combine efficiency, safety and ergonomics giving them an edge over all competitive models. The unique combination of V-belt and variable speed inverter provides the broadest speed range available on the market today. This speed range delivers the power and torque for large hole drilling and the high speed and control for small hole applications - making it ideal for working in a great array of materials. The pulleys are long wearing aluminum alloy, fully machined and balanced and are driven by a Gates 7M industrial V-ribbed V-belt that delivers all the needed power to the spindle with a service life of 10,000 hours. This drill uses a brushless DC motor with permanent current control combined with the latest state of the art variable speed inverter designed and built exclusively for metalworking machine tools. The fully enclosed machine tool spindle has a concentricity of .0005” at the spindle nose.
