GreenGuard GG25-LG XPS Insulation Board

Closed-cell Type IV extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board with a minimum compressive strength of 25 psi. Designed for below slab, cavity wall, and foundation applications with high moisture resistance and long-term thermal performance.

Produced with a blowing agent blend for GWP of less than 50. It has high water resistance and an R-value of 5.0 per inch of thickness. It retains its insulating properties over time. Use this insulation for below slab, cavity wall, and foundation applications. Available in a square-edge board, a ship-lap-edge board, a pre-cut 16-inch-wide board, and a score board.

How do I install XPS on my basement wall?

• Glue or fasten board to wall (5 adhesive points recommended).
• Recommended adhesive: Loctite Power Grab.
• Optional: 5 Plasti-Grip PMF Anchors.
• Seal with spray foam top and bottom.
• Cover with code-approved thermal barrier (drywall).

How do I protect the above grade portion of the XPS on my foundation?

Use PVC, fiber cement, or stucco coating to protect exposed board.

What about mold, mildew, and insects?

XPS does not provide a food source for mold, mildew, or insects when properly installed.

Does your XPS foam rot?

No. XPS does not rot but must be protected from prolonged UV exposure.
