Compact blades (made in steel): Made to be used on floor where you scatter the sand into the surface of a slurry and then trowel the surface to a smooth and nice surface. Steel blades are faster than plastic, but the noise from the blades is higher and there is a risk that you will get thin "trowel-roses" in the surface when the floor is ready.
